The software was first introduced by Andy Hildebrand in 1997. Hildebrand was a Ph.D. researching digital signal processing while exploring electrical engineering when he came across the autotune concept. He premiered it at a NAMM convention, and it was an instant hit.

So what can be done at this point? Bringing the singer back in to rerecord can be costly. A simple autotuned shift in pitch, on the other hand, can be easily performed during the mixing process making the recording sound flawless.

If you were reading that last section carefully, you probably saw the bullet points on artists and their use of autotune in live performances. This may have led you to ask the question, can autotune be used live? The answer is yes, it can.

With each album, their sound has evolved, and Patrick Stump is a major reason for that success. Although mostly known for his work with Fall Out Boy, Patrick has also recorded a mostly R&B album.\r\n\r\nAlthough the album, entitled Soul Punk, was not a traditional R&B album, it showed a different side to his singing. However, there has always been an element of soul to the way he sings Fall Out Boy songs.\r\n\r\nMany fans point out that Patrick Stump sings in a way that truly evokes the feeling of experiencing the song\u2019s subject matter. He has the type of voice that grabs the attention without being too aggressive.\r\n\r\nFall Out Boy is known for adding soul to their music!\r\n\r\nPatrick sings with passion and soul in all of their songs. He does this in a way that makes the lyrics take center stage. He also tries different things with his voice, which is one of the reasons why Fall Out Boy has withstood the test of time.\r\n\r\nOne of the things that makes someone a good singer is their technique.\r\n\r\nThis is because a good vocal technique can make up for the shortcomings of a singer. Patrick Stump has a lighter voice, but his technique helps his voice achieve a ringing quality.\r\n\r\nHis vocal technique is especially displayed when he sings in the upper fourth and lower fifth octaves. The sound heard is 100% being played by the band live.\r\n\r\nLip syncing has become a fairly common practice in the music industry.\r\n\r\nAnd a lot of times, it\u2019s not because a band can\u2019t play live. Concerts are huge events with a lot of people involved, and if a singer gets sick and the band can\u2019t play, a lot of money is lost.\r\n\r\nSo sometimes bands have the option to lip-sync in their back pocket just for emergencies.\r\n\r\nIt is important to understand why some singers lip-sync. Touring is one reason why many of them do it. When an act is on the road, they are using their voice night after night, which is straining.\r\n\r\nIt is important for singers to take care of their voices.\r\n\r\nThey lip sync as a way to preserve their voice. This doesn\u2019t mean they lip-sync each night or even for the full show. It just means they are relying on technology to not overuse their vocal cords.\r\n\r\nSo while I didn\u2019t find any videos of the band lip-syncing, some fans have mentioned it in forums, so it is possible they reserve that option.\r\n\r\n\ufeff\r\nConclusion\r\nFall Out Boy is considered one of the most important Punk-Rock acts of the 21st century.\r\n\r\nWith each album, their sound has evolved, and Patrick Stump is a major reason for that success.
